Conclusion : In conclusion, Kuta beach and Panjang beach: different, but similar. Although the two beaches differ in some aspects like the design of the hotels, Tourism Resorts, and also the cultural perspectives of the two societies, both are suitable to be the place for holiday. Moreover, the differences of them make special characteristic of those two beaches which actually can attract to be visited by the tourists outside Indonesia and the similarities like Malls near the beaches and the landscapes classify them as beauty of the nature.
The Essay
Panjang Beach and Kuta Beach
The differences among Kuta beach and Panjang beach are divided into two aspects which are the hotel design and Tourism resorts in the beaches. Let starts from Kuta beach first. In Kuta beach, the hotel designs are very modern and be westernized. People try to modernize the design of the hotel because they think the tourists would be excited with that. For example, the hotels are classified by the price, the accommodations which are served, and the landscapes, what can be seen from the hotels? For example, from the luxurious one is Aditya Homestay Munduk, the standard one is Pendawa Kuta and so on. The luxurious hotels are usually designed to attract tourist’s attention by building it near the beach with beautiful landscape that can be looked from it, and the designs are surely modern like hotels in Europe. What about the hotels around Panjang Beach? Are they the same as what Kuta beach in Bali has? In Panjang beach, the hotels are mostly located very close to the beach. When you go around the beach, you will see the hotels on your left side. Actually, the design of the hotel is not quite modern, only some of the hotels are designed like modern hotels like Hotel Grage Horizon, Hotel Raffles City, and Hotel Rio Asri. The others are almost similar with the old design of Indonesian Hotels such as Hotel Puri Bidadari, Hotel Pasir Putih, and so on. You can see all the landscapes from the hotels, or you just walk out to the beach, it only takes 5 minutes to reach the beach from the hotels.
When you go to Kuta beach, you will get what you think about western countries. You will meet some foreigners; you speak in English when you do conversation, and other activities that do not belong to Indonesian society. However, that makes Kuta beach to be famous today around the world. The people are so friendly with different cultures that come through the tourists, so they feel comfortable and often visit Kuta beach. Because of that ease feeling, the government of Bali makes Kuta beach as one of the investment for Bali Province. Different cultures that Bali societies have been received from the tourists make them heterogeneity However, the Balinese do not lose their old cultures even they introduce those cultures to the visitors to get money. They really appreciate the shows and pay for it. What makes it interesting is that tourists learn the cultures for years. On the other hand, the visitors of Panjang beach are mostly from Bengkulu residence. The foreigners dislike to visit Panjang beach because they do not feel ease with the situation around it. The people are still more entrenched to their cultures. Thus, the tourists cannot do what they want to do on the beach, for example, the tourists take off their clothes and do sunbathing. Of course the people around the beach will forbid that kind of act because it does not fit the culture of Bengkulu people.
Do not forget about the tourism resorts while you are going to the beach. Because it will make your holiday better than what you imagine in your mind. The tourism resorts on Kuta beach are different from what we have on Panjang beach. On Kuta beach, there are so many resorts or what we call as Play Rides. For example for play rides are Surfing, Sunbathing, Soccer Beach, Water boom, Kiddy Park, Sling shot, and so on. All the rides can be played by the visitors, but you need to pay for it. What about play rides on the Panjang beach? Actually Panjang beach does not have that many as Kuta beach have because in my opinion, the government of Bengkulu does not tend to make Panjang beach as a tourism resorts. The play rides are banana boat, wagons, jogging tracks, and sport center, you can do every sport on the sport center because it has been served for sports only, and elephant ride (there are two elephants on the Panjang beach you can ride on, just pay Rp. 5000. They are located on the Panjang Beach. You can be brought by the elephant to go around the beach.
Kuta beach and Panjang are different, but almost similar also. The similarities are from the landscapes and Shopping center. If we look at what we know about beach, we have the imagination the sceneries that beach always has amazing sunset time, beautiful sea and trees, and famous white sand. Kuta beach and Panjang beach has that views. Then at the moment you pass those beaches, Shopping center are waiting for you to come inside. There are a lot of souvenirs you can buy for your family. It is unforgettable to have something that can remember you with the place you have ever visited.
On Kuta beach and Panjang beach, Mall can be found near the beach. You can buy clothes, Hawaii clothes, Batik, and so many other things you can buy in the Mall. The name of the malls are different I think. On Panjang Beach, we call it Bengkulu Indah Mall, and on Kuta beach we find many malls near the beach such as Discovery Shopping Mall, Beach walk, and so on.
In conclusion, Kuta beach and Panjang beach: different, but similar. Although the two beaches differ in some aspects like the design of the hotels, Tourism Resorts, and also the cultural perspectives of the two societies, both are suitable to be the place for holiday. Moreover, the differences of them make special characteristic of those two beaches which actually can attract to be visited by the tourists outside Indonesia and the similarities like Malls near the beaches and the landscapes classify them as beauty of the nature.
